Abstract

Petrographic and XRF analyses of the magmatic rock from JabukaShoal, 2300 m west of Jabuka Islet (central Adriatic Sea) revealedthat the rock is gabbro. This new location of magmatic rocks in theAdriatic confirms their linear arrangement, and indicates the presenceof an important fault line which predisposed the occurrences of magmaticrocks.
